PHOTOGRAPHY  Gambiarras (2019-2021) is a two years project, developed as I stumbled across a set of amusing objects. These objects are called gambiarras: a Brazilian term attributed to the set of objects that come from improvised solutions in everyday life. A wire placing a eyeglasses arm, a piece of trunk in place of the fourth leg of a chair, a screwdriver handle attached to a hammer’s head. The documentation of these objects keeps the same frame (captured in the studio against a neutral background), photographing the gambiarras in a formal context that contrasts with their character.
